COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS COMING BACK

Look out Crosschippers, college football is returning this week and we couldn't be more excited! Tailgating has always been a beloved pastime of our Crosschips brigade because it tests you abilities in an outside element, which is then followed up by a cool down period spent at a college football game.

Crosschips tailgating includes the eating of several finger foods and snacks with the enjoyment of multiple libations. 75% of the time the tailgate includes some sort of grilling; burgers, hotdogs, chicken, whole pig roasts and even giant vats of chili.
A crucial factor to a Crosschips tailgate is to bring a minimum of 5 servings of food per person and 12-15 servings in drinks.

The founder/CEO of Crosschips happens to do his tailgating at Michigan games and will be presenting to you photos, video and Crosschips game plans based around the University of MICH! Football games.

Only a few more days people!!!!!!!!!!

Crosschips NYC Hot Dog Stands

HOLY CHIPS! You head into tourist nation of NYC and you can find a hot dog stand at almost every single corner! The best part is, they are all around $1.00!!! Now, this makes for a certian type of Crosschips that we don't really care for that much, one that involves activities such as walking, standing and leaving the cozy confines of your favorite couch of recliner, but in New York, you don't have many options other than walking.

So, what my cousin and I did was walk to every hot dog stand we saw, ordered a hot dog and continued onto the next one. We would stop in between stands, have a beer at a local bar and keep on trucking. The goal was to reach a high number of hot dog intake until we literally had to find a toilet for the dirty deuce. I made it to 14 hot dogs in what seemed to be a 4 mile walk. Not bad if you ask me.

I know that hot dogs seem to be one of the Crosschips staples, but it is one of the cheapest & easiest items to make and eat for your exercise. So here we go.
TODAYS CROSSCHIPS!!!!
Dogs & Beers; Eat a dog, have a beer, eat a dog, have a beer and continue until you can no longer chew or drink. Should be good for a Friday.

Crosschips NYC Pizza & Burgers?

I found this excellent place on 2nd Ave near 6th I believe. They have an offering of Pizza w/ 1 topping for $5, which is probably the cheapest place to buy Pizza in NYC, ever. But also, opening soon, is a "mini-Burger" shop! Are you kidding me? I've already scheduled a 2nd trip to New York so I can Crosschips accordingly at this location.

So, because I couldn't eat 2, $5 pizzas and scarf down a dozen mini-burgers during this visit, I knocked out 4 pizzas as my Crosschips meal. They aren't your typical "Hot n' Ready" which is a 14" large, it's only about 10" but it's still quite delectable. This location also has tons of toppings, things I've never seen before such as: Eggplant, shrimp, buffalo chicken and broccoli. You can check out their menu here.. I'm not sure why their website doesn't have this location listed yet, maybe it's brand new.

CROSSCHIPS FOR THE DAY!: Eat lots and lots of Pizza. If you go "Hot & Ready" through Little Ceasers, get 2 - 3 pizza's. Make sure you literally break the zipper on your pants before you finish. Good LUCK!

Crosschips NYC ESPN ZONE

So after walking around for 4 hours, we got to Time Square which was full of people. Probably should have waited till night time to check it out for the full effect, I'll do it next time. Anyway, after 4 hours of walking you tend to get tired and hungry and in need of serious libations. We decided to head into the ESPN Zone for some brewdoggers, Crosschips & the air conditioning.

This is a panorama of the bar above, it came out kind of dark but whatever. They had on the LOLions game there, which they ended up winning to continue their 5 straight preseason game winning streak.

The ESPN Zone is of course pricey, but you had to choose wisely in order to get the best Crosschips for your money. We went for the 23 Oz beers & Nachos. Each beer was $10.50, but it was Sam Adams Summer Ale & much better then a 12 oz PBR can for $5 (crap bar on Thursday). I have nothing against PBR, I drink it when I can, but to pay $5 is a sin against all mankind, e-fact. The Nachos were $9.

Here is the Crosschips...(there were more chips in there but I took the picture late.)

We each had 3, 23 oz beers and a plate of Nachos each. DOMINATED IT. Good times.

FRIDAY CROSSCHIPS!!!
Drink over 69(lol)oz of beer and eat a whole bag of tortilla chips & one jar of nacho cheese for your best time. WOO FRIDAY!

Crosschips NYC Seafood

This was on 7th Ave, just north of Time Square at a place called "Maison" (Panorama view above). My Crosschipping cousin insisted that I try out Oysters so I agreed to if he paid ($2.95 per Oyster!?!?) I also enjoyed a Brooklyn Lager which was excellent.

The 1st Oyster was terrible, but after that they were pretty decent. If you aren't a fan, I suggest crab cakes, jumbo shrimp or crab legs as a quick Seafood Crosschips.

Crosschips for the day: Finger Foods, eat 15% of your weights worth.
100 lbs = 15 cheese sticks
150 lbs = 22.5 pieces of shrimp
200 lbs = 30 chicken fingers
etc...

You can of course mix and match, just reach your target!

Crosschips NYC Corner Store

Check this out, because NYC is jam packed full of anything and everything, they have to forgo the common "candy & gum racks" and take everything out of the boxes and pack them together like sardines. I found it to be pretty interesting and very tempting to the everyday Crosschipper. On Friday afternoon I took 3 linear feet of this area and ate it up as my Crosschips.

I suggest you do the same when you visit NYC.

CrosschipsBT: "Linear feet need comfy SHOES or SOCKS. Just e-pinion."

Crosschips NYC Dinner (4th meal)

Notice my excellent camera skills here as I accidentally took a video instead of a picture. Still kind of cool though. This is the Hollywood Diner, it is open 24 hours for your Crosschipping needs. Not sure where it is exactly as we just stumbled upon it during the drunken walk back from a concert in Brooklyn. You get a massive burger, tons of fries, coleslaw & like 8 pickles for $9. Not a bad meal for Crosschips!

Crosschips NYC Breakfast

Check it out. I went to this excellent breakfast location called 7A (At 7th and A ave. in East Village) You got the below breakfast for $5.49. It was probably one of the cheapest meals I had all weekend and it was delicious. I Crosschipped it up and bought seconds of course.

Notice the bad ass Crosschips tee shirt I'm wearing. You can pick yours up at the Crosschips e-store.

Mailbag Question: What can I do to make sure I gain the weight I need? (10 lbs)

Dear Crosschips

I love your blog but I have one problem with it. I've been following your regimen like the bible since it started but I've only gained 5 pounds. Normally I wouldn't mind this but I need to get back to my high school football playing weight (in which I made 18 tackles in a game) by my high school reunion in 2 weeks to impress my old friends. (I currently need 10 added pounds to make that weight). So as you can see 5 pounds is NOT GOOD ENOUGH and UNACCEPTABLE. What can I do to make sure I gain the weight I need?

Hope you can help keep up the good work

Blueseoul

-----------------------------------------------

Thanks for the e-question Blueseou. Excellent question in our epinion.

With a quality management system any Crosschipper can eat the required Crosschips for the day and gain only a little bit of weight. This management system is known as "metabolism". To slow down this "metabolism" and put on the LB's needed to match your ex-hottie, now 40 lbs overweight ex-girlfriends you need to do the following.

1. Double up your Crosschips regime and follow through with it.

2. Don’t exercise and cut back your activity significantly. Try staying on the couch at all times. Watch lots of TV & Movies.

3. Avoid metabolic activating foods such as green tea or any other organic low calorie treat.

4. Eat foods with high calorie content. You can find plenty of them in this POST.

5. Eat before bedtime. Your body does it's least amount of fat burning while you sleep. That is why the 4th meal is crucial to all Crosschippers.

6. Over do the caffeine. Lot's of sugary soda's will get the job done, stay away from coffee because it has some healthy benefits that you don't need.

I hope this helps you out for your little event. Nice work on the 18 tackles in 1 game also, you must have been a 5* recruit with great pad level at one point in time. Or not, just epinion.

CrosschipsBT: "Gain 10 lbs good for PAD LEVEL but also GUT LEVEL."

Thanks for stopping by.

Mailbag Question: How can I keep myself from having another heart attack?

Hey,
I recently did your "I AM CROSSCHIPS" Crosschips and ended up having a heart attack. Thankfully I was near a hospital and pulled through. I was wondering if you had any tips to help me next time my heart feels like it's about to explode? I love your e-blog but I don't love the heart attack feeling. Or death.
-Gerg
-------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for your e-question.

I believe the post you are refering to is this one. It seems difficult at first glance, but if you know your body well enough, it can be done. I'm e-ssuming you used a difficult type of food, something filling, fattening and extremely greasy. This is strictly for professional crosschippers like myself, Charles Weis, John Daly, John Jonathan Madden, etc... We can get that workout done with 13 double bacon cheeseburgers if we wanted to.

Here are my suggestions to keep yourself from heart failure / death.
1. eat lighter foods. For example, instead of a Cheeseburger, have a fried chicken sandwich. Instead of a glazed jelly donut, have either a glazed or jelly donut, not the combo.
2. Drink plenty of fluids. Water is what the "health experts" recommend, but I say trade in that Budweiser for Bud Light. It's lighter on your aching heart, which is a big "W".
3. Add Garlic to everything. Garlic is known to make food delicious but also heart healthy. This will boost the strength of your heart when it has to pump chocolate clotted blood through your arteries. It's very crucial to an excellent Crosschips lifestyle.
4. Bayer Aspirin:

5. It’s completely against everything Crosschips is about (consumption) but when you feel like you are about to burst and your left arm is in serious pain (sign of a heart attack), you stick your finger down that throat of yours and let it all out and start over. Nothing like a clean slate (stomach) will kick start that heart back up any better.
I hope these suggestions will help you out. I would also suggest seeing a doctor, it's SCIENCE.

Tiger Woods is into Crosschips

Check it out, Tiger Jonathan Woods is a Crosschips member. Here he is having one of his 18 sandwiches per round of golf. This happened to be just after he sunk a 23 foot eagle putt on hole #2 to put him at -9.

What I would like you all to do is either have 18 sandwiches in a 5 hour period, or try to put down 18 while out on the golf course. Either way, it's some quality Crosschipping if you ask me.

The Donut Burger

A new burger is out there that is sweeping the Crosschips nation. It has elements of breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert all in one. This my friends, is the Donut Burger.
As you will see below, there are many different ways to prepare said burger; some use 2 whole donuts or slice one in half to take place of the bun. Toppings include almost anything you could put on a burger, even a fried egg which is just delicious.

This one includes the fried egg & bacon strips.

Pickles, onions, tomatoes. Not my style but whateva.

Chocolate covered sprinkle donuts!

Easy, just a simple bacon & cheese donut burger.

Sugar donut burger. NICE!!!!
